I was so lucky to find SOMA PT/OT after a terrible accident to my hand. Everybody there is warm and welcoming and extremely compassionate. The vibe in the whole place is relaxed yet dedicated to helping each individual and their needs. Specifically, my occupational therapist, Costa, has a natural ability to focus in and address the unique problem that requires help in the moment. I know I progressed for the better because of his expertise and desire to be beneficial. The second you walk in and meet Monina (a doll!) at the front desk, you know you’re in the best hands

Highly Recommend Soma! I have been working with George to help recover from an IT band injury and his help has been life saving. George is a true professional and is extremely knowledgeable. He really takes the time to explain and educate his patients to ensure a smooth path to recovery. Absolutely love this place and have already referred several friends.

Everyone is absolutely amazing at SOMA Physical Therapy. From the front desk to the therapists themselves, they will make you feel like family. They put very special care and attention into everyone that walks in there. In the time I’ve been there, I have strengthened and learned some of the simplest ways to improve my injury. They are definitely a place I will be referring any family or friends to go to if they ever need physical/occupational therapy done.

Costa was extremely professional and knowledgeable with my diagnosis. I had a great time working with him and he made sure I attained the goals we set up together. It was easy to set up an appointment, which they also accommodated in short notice. The office has a positive atmosphere and I look forward to working with him again.

From my first appointment, the entire team was incredibly kind, supportive, and knowledgeable. They took the time to get to know me and my goals, and subsequently guided me through a tailored rehab plan focused on both strength and flexibility. Thanks to their expert care, I was not only able to recover, but I successfully completed my first marathon!! Every therapist and staff member I interacted with was considerate, encouraging, and truly invested in my progress. I’m incredibly grateful for their help and support throughout my recovery. SOMA is a hidden gem in Astoria that more people need to know about! George and his team are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and really take the time to get to know each patient. The facility is also really clean. I highly recommend SOMA for anyone who needs physical therapy!

ACL full recovery- I started with George a month before my ACL surgery and I was able to reach full range of motion right before surgery as suggested by my surgeon. This really helped set my recovery to a great start. ACL recovery is painful in the beginning but working along George made it easy to understand the different stages I was in and I saw improvement through every session. I had some set backs along the way like tendinitis but that was nothing George couldn’t help me get through. I’m now fully recovered and so thankful for George’s help.

SOMA has been absolutely wonderful! Everyone here is so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cares about their patients. They’ve done an amazing job helping my dad with his recovery — we’ve seen so much progress thanks to their dedication and expertise. They make scheduling appointments and handling insurance things so easy. We truly couldn’t have found a better facility. Highly recommend!
